Who Should Attend This Webinar?
Structural engineers and engineering managers or supervisors who are responsible for the design or qualification of building structures and structural components subjected to gravity and lateral loading as well as those responsible for auditing, reviewing or approving such designs will benefit from this course. Those with very little design experience as well as those with many years of experience will find the course beneficial.

All seminar presenters are either Steel Joist Institute staff, and/or steel joist engineering professionals.

Continuing Education Units
Each participant will earn 0.15 CEUs or 1.5 PDHs and receive a certificate of completion from SJI.

NOTE: If you are licensed in Florida or North Carolina, please send your license number to SJI at webinars@steeljoist.org, as this is required to issue your CEU certificate.

Registration is $40 per person or $160 for 5 people.  Please use the discount code DC5webinar.  If you are registering larger numbers, please contact SJI to receive the discount code for every 5th person.

Topics specifically addressed include evaluations of existing joist strength, methods of supporting additional loads, design approaches to strengthen joists and design approaches to shortening and lengthening joists.
